Nadi Airport taxis and the current meter rules

Official airport taxis are yellow and use the designated rank outside arrivals. Fiji Airports says the meter is required. If you prefer a fixed total, arrange a licensed private transfer in writing; do not convert a metered airport taxi into an informal negotiated ride.

Fiji Airports says yellow taxis with a red payment sticker accept international cards. Confirm card acceptance before loading and keep Fiji dollars as a backup. Hotel shuttles near Nadi Airport

Fiji Gateway Hotel publishes a complimentary 24-hour shuttle from its location opposite the terminal. Tokatoka Resort also publishes a free 24-hour on-demand airport shuttle. Tanoa International Hotel publishes a complimentary transfer and asks guests to arrange it at least three days before arrival.

The useful test is the reservation, not distance from the runway. A shuttle listing can mean free, paid, scheduled or on request. Ask the hotel for the price, pickup point, operating hours and confirmation that your flight number is attached to the request.

Shared coaches and private transfers

Fiji Airports lists staffed tour and transfer operators in the arrivals area. These services are most useful for a named pickup, a vehicle matched to a family or group, or a planned journey beyond Nadi and Denarau. Obtain a written total and check whether the price is per passenger or per vehicle.

Tourist Transport Fiji publishes private vehicles and a scheduled seat-in-vehicle coach service built around international arrivals. A coach may leave after the relevant flight clears and can include several hotel stops. Its current airport information publishes one checked bag up to 30 kilograms plus one carry-on item. A shared seat suits a supported hotel when waiting is acceptable. Choose a private vehicle for a child seat, reduced mobility, bulky sports equipment, a late flight or a long Coral Coast journey. Public bus or rental car

Public bus

A bus can work for Nadi town in daylight when you have light luggage and no tight connection. Vodafone Fiji's eTransport system says public buses do not accept cash, so arrange a usable eTransport card before boarding. Ask airport staff for the current stop and route on the day. The bus is a poor fit for a resort without a practical stop or for travelers who would still need a long final walk with bags.

Rental car

Nadi town and Wailoaloa Beach
