Glide through the Sigatoka River valley and explore untouched Fijian landscapes and village life.

What to Expect on the Safari

Your journey starts with a high-speed jet boat ride along Fiji's longest navigable river. But this is more than an adrenaline rush — it's a guided cultural experience that brings you face-to-face with real village life in the Fijian interior.

You'll navigate through 15 exciting rapids while traveling 18 kilometers upstream, passing ancient archaeological sites over 2,600 years old. Expert drivers perform spectacular 360-degree spins and high-speed maneuvers through dramatic landscape changes from coastal areas to lush highland valleys.

You'll stop at a traditional village, receive a warm welcome with a sevusevu (kava ceremony), enjoy a home-cooked meal featuring dishes like kokoda (Fijian ceviche) and palusami (taro leaves in coconut milk), and learn firsthand about rural customs, song, and storytelling. It's immersive, respectful, and unforgettable. To deepen your cultural experience, consider joining a traditional Fijian cooking class to learn recipes featured in village meals.

Practical Tip

Bring reef-safe sunscreen, a change of clothes (you will get splashed!), and a respectful attitude. Sulus are provided before entering the village. The safari runs daily with hotel pickup from Coral Coast, Denarau, and Sigatoka areas between 8:00-8:30 AM. Tours are not suitable for pregnant women or those with back/neck injuries.
