Churchill Park Lautoka: Tickets, Capacity and Visitor Guide

Churchill Park is Lautoka's main stadium and one of the Fijian Drua's home venues on Viti Levu. It hosts rugby, football, athletics and community events. Lautoka City Council lists its capacity as 11,736 people, including standing areas. The stadium is in Lautoka, north of Nadi, so it works well as a day trip when a match fits your travel dates.

Start with the event, then arrange the journey. Choose a fixture that names Churchill Park, Lautoka, buy the correct seating category and sort out your ride back before kickoff. For a major rugby match, aim to arrive 60 to 90 minutes early and allow about three hours at the ground for entry, the match and departure.

Churchill Park capacity and choosing a seat

Lautoka City Council's capacity table gives a total of 11,736 people. This includes 2,200 standing places on the North Embankment, so the total is a spectator capacity, not a count of individual seats.

How to get to Churchill Park from Nadi, the airport and Denarau

Use Churchill Park, Lautoka on the map for the stadium and the gate shown on your ticket for entry. If taking a taxi, tell the driver your seating section so the drop-off is useful for that gate.

From central Lautoka

From Lautoka Bus Terminal or the central shopping area, allow about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the stadium area, then extra time to find your gate. This is a planning allowance; your entrance determines the final route. A short town taxi is easier with bags, young children or limited mobility.

From Nadi town by bus

From Nadi International Airport

The airport is north of Nadi town, closer to Lautoka. Pacific Transport lists direct airport calls with scheduled journeys of 25 to 35 minutes to Lautoka, followed by your stadium connection. Ask the airport Information Desk for the northbound boarding point. With flight luggage, choose a taxi from the yellow-cab rank outside arrivals or a pre-booked transfer, and drop your bags at your accommodation first.

From Denarau or Port Denarau

A taxi or arranged transfer gives you one ride from your resort or marina to the stadium. Allow roughly an hour for planning, plus your arrival buffer. For a bus trip, first reach Nadi Bus Station, then take a Lautoka service. From an island resort, build the outing around your boat arrival and the final boat back. Arrange the land transfer from Port Denarau as part of that plan.

Taxi fares, bus payment and parking

Metered taxi fares combine a starting charge, distance and waiting time. The July 2026 tariff reported by Fiji Times uses the components below. FBC News reports that FCCC has extended the temporary adjustment through 31 March 2027.

For a private transfer, get a total covering pickup, the return journey and any waiting. For public buses, the charged fare depends on the destination and distance stage. Load enough eTransport credit for both journeys and your connection back to the hotel.

Driving and parking

Use signed public parking and follow event-day traffic directions. Lautoka City Council lists car parks at Sugar City Mall, Tukani and TappooCity, alongside metered street parking. For an evening event, read the car park's closing time before leaving your vehicle. Choose a space that lets you walk to the ground without blocking stadium gates or nearby businesses.

Match-day entry, what to bring and family visits

• Ticket: Drua accepts a valid QR ticket on your phone or a self-printed PDF. Save it offline, charge your phone and keep the confirmation email handy.
• Sun and rain: pack a hat, sunscreen and a light rain poncho. Choose clothes and shoes comfortable enough for queues, walking and several hours outdoors.
• Spending money: carry Fijian dollars for food and local transport. Keep your return fare separate from what you plan to spend at the event.
• Bags, food and drink: use the event's entry conditions when packing. Drua's terms allow searches of spectators and possessions, so keep your bag small and easy to open.
• Children: choose the age category and section shown on the booking. Drua can request proof of age for discounted tickets. Agree on a meeting point with your group before the crowd builds.

The ticket or match announcement gives the gate-opening time. Reserved seating lets you head to your assigned place; general admission requires finding a spot within your purchased section. A curtain-raiser or doubleheader adds time to the outing, so plan around the full program you want to watch.

Drua's ticket terms permit personal photography for private use and restrict professional equipment without accreditation, livestreaming and commercial use. Follow staff directions at the ground.

Getting back after the match

Arrange a pickup point with your driver before entering, preferably away from the busiest gate. For a bus return, choose a published southbound departure that leaves time to exit the stadium and reach Lautoka Bus Terminal. Pacific Transport currently lists daily afternoon departures at 3:50 pm and 5:30 pm, with additional Friday-only departures. After a 3:30 pm kickoff, the 5:30 pm coach leaves little time to get out and walk to the terminal. Arrange a pickup if that connection is too tight; an evening kickoff also needs a separate return plan.

For a flight, work backward from your airline's check-in deadline and allow for traffic leaving the ground. For an island boat, work backward from the operator's Port Denarau check-in time. If the match and transfer cannot fit comfortably before that deadline, stay on the mainland or choose another event.
